Med-TSO outcomes
Discover all our publications, reports and assessments delivered in the frame of four EU co-founded projects.
Latest Outcomes
Master Plan of Mediterranean Interconnections 2025
Med-TSO updates its Master Plan of Mediterranean Interconnections each Eu co-founded project, showcasing the collective perspectives of the Mediterranean Transmission System Operators (TSOs) on the grid development.
Mediterranean Energy
Scenario Report
Med-TSO presents the Mediterranean Energy Scenario Reports, exploring how the region’s electricity systems could evolve over the next two decades, outlining strategic scenarios to provide a robust foundation for future interconnection planning.
Adequacy Studies
These studies present the projected adequacy situation among non-EU Med-TSO members during the seasons, starting from 2022. With this assessment, Med-TSO aligns with global best practices and with the latest developments in EU regulation. These investigations evaluate the security of electricity supply to consumers through a detailed power system adequacy assessment, using probabilistic criteria. This approach is necessary due to the stochastic nature of renewable energy systems (RES) and their intermittency, and also due to power system operation, which is increasingly based on open market conditions; all these aspects call for the assessment of power system adequacy in the short-, mid- and long-term.
Mediterranean Electricity
Interconnection Perspective 2025
Developed through the cooperation of experts from the 20 Transmission System Operators member of Med-TSO, the MEIP explores how new cross-border projects can help countries share renewable energy, improve system reliability, and support long-term climate and energy goals, for the first time ever at 2040 horizon.
